The RockitZ are an eclectic and lively cover band based in Tallahassee, Florida, known for their mix of pop, classic rock, and soul, all with a brass-heavy sound. Founded by keyboardist Chuck Cliburn in 2015, the band boasts 12 members who bring a wide range of musical talents. Featuring two trombones, two trumpets, a saxophone, and a full rock ensemble, The RockitZ deliver energetic performances of tunes from Van Morrison, Tom Petty, Chicago, and more. Recently, they've expanded their repertoire to include modern hits like Florence + The Machine’s “Ship To Wreck” and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk.” The RockitZ consists of seasoned musicians who by day are professionals in various fields—firefighters, medical experts, and IT specialists—but come together to share their passion for music. The band frequently performs at larger venues and special events, such as the American Legion Hall, Tallahassee’s Winter Festival of Lights, Springtime Tallahassee, and weddings. With their unique blend of horns and rock, The RockitZ bring an unforgettable experience that keeps audiences on their feet.
