The Fried Turkeys are a seasoned Americana/country band that started over a friendly neighborhood jam session on Washington Street, with Frank Douglas and David Chapman at the helm. What began as two neighbors strumming guitars quickly grew into an evolving group of talented musicians, with over 20 players joining the mix throughout their 15-year run. The band creates magic with their laid-back style, blending original songs from frontman Frank Douglas with contributions from bandmates like Chapin Frazee (mandolin, guitar), Johnny Andrews (keyboard, bass, pedal steel), Todd Bevis (bass), Don Horne (keyboard), and vocalist/guitarist Carol Ann Mathews, affectionately known as "The Diva." Known for their feel-good anthems and seamless harmonies, The Fried Turkeys have performed at events like Suwannee Roots Revival, Due South, Porch Fest, and Word of South at Cascades Park.
