Medians is an instrumental quartet from Tallahassee, Florida, blending post-rock and math-rock to craft progressive tracks that deliver both technical precision and undeniable groove. Formed in 2017 by Dallas Lanius (guitar) and Ki Nakai (drums), the band spent several years writing intricate material. With the addition of Nick Ossi (bass) in 2022 and Kurt Stevenson (guitar) in 2023, Medians released their debut EP, Music For Bats, Frogs, and Other Imaginary Friends, a showcase of atmospheric post-rock themes filled with odd time signatures and tapping melodies. In October 2023, the band toured across the southeastern U.S., performing at venues and festivals, including Plus Fest Mathrock Festival, and sharing the stage with notable bands like Tang, Challenger Deep, and Via Luna.
