The Req Room is delighted to bring the healing power of sound via the ancient and mystical instrument, the Gong facilitated by The Gong Experience. This time we are focusing on Inner Peace so we can become the calm within the storm.

This event is being dovetailed with the Mardi Gras Parade and celebration at the Blue Tavern beginning at 6pm. There is a separate $5 fee and please, please bring extra to tip the amazing New Orleans Brass Band that will lead the parade and continue playing at the Blue Tavern afterwards!

The Gong Experience facilitators, Steev Inglish (Sahadev) and Kasimira Vogel, each have over a decade of experience in creating transformational soundscapes. The sounds assist the listener in unhooking the "attachment of mind" which creates space for true relaxation and release ultimately reconnecting the listener with their true selves.

According to Sahadev the sound of the Gong, when played properly with intention, has the capacity to become a perfect vehicle to inner space. This is because it is pure sound and pre-music. Today we have additional techniques and pairings that utilize the power of the gong's vibration. As such it can reach deeper places and release emotional blocks in a more powerful and primal way.

Both facilitators are professional musicians and yogis giving them deeper insights into the dynamic uses, pairings and weaving of supplementary instruments.

What you will need for your personal journey: You want to be certain you are cozy and comfortable. You can either sit in a chair or bring a mat/blanket to lay on the floor.
