Introspecta is an indie folk band that revolves around songbird Brooke Issitt writing and warbling songs that flutter through poetic introspection and exploring with a playful, philosophical curiosity in perceiving the world around her. D.K. Issitt sets the pace on upright bass and a decacorde (a 10-string guitar), with his dreamy latticework of intricately interlaced strings and complex instrumental cowriting. Cici Foquim, usually on a full drum set in other bands, still keeps you on the edge of your seat leading a tempered rhythm section with vibrant vocal harmonies and layers of percussion from the cajon drum she sits on, the tambourines and shakers worn on her feet, and some chimes for special times.
