FSU Opera presents "Dark Sisters," a gripping contemporary opera about one woman’s fight to escape a polygamist sect this weekend. Inspired by true events, Nico Muhly’s opera is a stark portrayal of coercion, faith, and the painful pursuit of autonomy.

Showtime is at 7:30 p.m. May 29 and May 30 at Opperman Music Hall, 114 N. Copeland St., on FSU's campus. Tickets are $20 for adults; $15 for seniors and non-FSU students; and $10 for FSU students with ID. This production depicts sexual violence and is not be recommended for all audiences.
