Capital City Band of TSC, under the baton of Director of Bands Lisa M. Foltz, celebrates the opening of its sixtieth concert season, on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in Turner Auditorium at Tallahassee State College; 444 Appleyard Drive; Free admission for all and free and easy parking!

Join us in celebration of the SIXTIETH ANNIVERSARY SEASON OF CAPITAL CITY BAND, first called "Tallahassee Community Band." While potentially the first "Tallahassee Community Band" can be traced back to around 1924, the Band was revived in the fall of 1966 under the same name, after a quite long hiatus! This was the same year that Tallahassee Junior College was founded. In 1970, the same year that Tallahassee Junior College was renamed "Tallahassee Community College," the Band moved on campus. On July 1, 2024, TCC was renamed Tallahassee State College.

No less important, we'll also continue to celebrate the 250th milestone anniversary of the founding of the United States of America with a special selection!

Turner Auditorium is located in the Fine and Performing Arts Center (FPAC), between the Administration Building and the Communications and Humanities Building. Come out to support live music and the performing arts at Tallahassee State College!
