Starting in 2021, Tallahassee-based acoustic duo Hot Tamale has been hosting an annual picnic to celebrate the birthday of Ray Charles in his hometown of Greenville, FL. It will be a casual, neighborly gathering with live music and folks sharing memories, stories, picnic food, and lots of smiles. Musicians: come perform your favorite Ray Charles song or play along with the band. It is at Haffye Hays Park on Hwy 90 in the middle of Greenville, just 44 miles east of Tallahassee.
