Enjoy an afternoon of orchestra works including the Finale of Tchaikovsky’s 4th Symphony and Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. The themes of ‘fate’ and ‘fire’ are explored as we delve into a wonderful afternoon of music. Come enjoy orchestra works by Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Stravinsky and Beethoven. The program includes the last movement of the 4th Tchaikovsky Symphony and an exciting performance of the last four movements of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. Big Bend Community Orchestra is a local ensemble comprised of community musicians including professionals, music teachers, and students. We rehearse each week to provide concerts throughout the school year as well as provide opportunities for young musicians to display their skills and talent through a Young Artist Competition.
