He completed his undergraduate degrees in piano performance and finance in Australia and has performed concertos by Rachmaninoff and Ravel with major orchestras. Truong has received numerous awards, including the 2024 Katharine Kearns Scholarship and the 2020 Australian Classical Music Prize. His repertoire reflects a passion for Ravel, Scriabin, and collaborations with contemporary composers. 👨‍🏫 About the Conductor: Alexander Jiménez serves as Professor of Conducting and Director of Orchestral Activities at FSU. He has led the University Philharmonia and University Symphony Orchestra to national acclaim and has collaborated with renowned composers including Ellen Taaffe Zwilich and Krzysztof Penderecki. A frequent guest conductor in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East, Jiménez also works with the Boston University Tanglewood Institute and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. He has received multiple university teaching awards and is recognized for his leadership in music education and orchestral performance.
