March 8th has been recognized as International Women’s Day in Europe since its inception in the early 20th century, but it has been largely overlooked in the U.S. It’s time to change that. The Palaver Tree Theater is proud to honor the occasion with a wine & cheese reception and multi-media show featuring works on the theme by local visual artists, poets, and musicians. FSU Distinguished University Scholar Barbara Hamby will begin the show by reading excerpts from her newest book of poetry, followed by a delicious lineup of local musical, literary, and artistic talent including Hot Tamale, Corine Samuel & Chanson Blue, NOVIA SOMNUS, Mary Anne Hoffman and MORE!! Tix $10 online, $15 at door.
