About the Artists: Sandra McCracken Sandra McCracken is a GRAMMY-nominated and Dove Award-winning singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. A prolific recording artist, she has produced 18 solo albums. Her best-selling release, Psalms (2015), received critical acclaim, followed by God’s Highway (2017), which made the top 50 on the Billboard charts without a major label. Her album, Light in the Canyon, won the 2023 GMA Dove Award for Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year. Sandra’s thoughtful lyrics and gospel melodies in songs like “We Will Feast In The House Of Zion” and “Steadfast” have become staple anthems in churches across the U.S. She released her first book, Send Out Your Light, in September 2021. Sandra lives in Nashville with her husband, three children, and two dogs. Fernando Ortega Juan Fernando Ortega is a pianist and singer-songwriter in contemporary Christian music. He is noted both for his interpretations of many traditional hymns and songs, such as “Give Me Jesus,” “Be Thou My Vision,” and “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty,” and for writing clear and easily understood songs such as “This Good Day.” Fernando entered the Christian music scene in the early 1990s. His distinctively earthy sound perplexed and even defied the pop status quo. Descended from eight generations of Mexican weavers, this son of the Rio Grande entwines thoughtful melodies with Celtic, bluegrass, classical, and Latin American influences to create something unique and rare. Sara Groves Sara Groves is a 25+ year veteran singer/songwriter and recording artist with a passion for justice. Since 2005, she has been an artist advocate with International Justice Mission, a global organization that works to protect the poor from violence. In 2011, Sara and her husband Troy opened a unique community art center, Art House North, in a 100+ year old church. Sara’s 14th and most recent album, Abide With Me, is a collection of hymns recorded in a 105-year-old church, re-creating the worship experience for listeners. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience an evening where art, music, and justice come together to inspire and uplift.
