Samara Joy is a 24-year-old Bronx native and rising star in the jazz world. With her Grammy Award-winning debut album, Linger Awhile, released through Verve Records, Samara has drawn comparisons to legendary vocalists like Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, and Billie Holiday. Her rich, velvety voice, combined with her refined and timeless sound, has captivated a wide audience, earning fans such as Regina King and Elton John. She has made appearances on major TV shows like The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and The Kelly Clarkson Show, as well as gaining millions of likes on TikTok, establishing herself as the first Gen Z jazz singing sensation. In 2024, Samara won a third Grammy Award for her rendition of the Betty Carter classic "Tight" and is now preparing for her next full-length album.
