Tallahassee Winds, a community symphonic band that performs under the auspices of FSU’s College of Music, will present its second concert of the 2024-2025 season in FSU's Opperman Music Hall at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26. Admission is free. The concert features an eclectic lineup from the familiar melody of “Simple Gifts,” made popular in Aaron Copland's “Appalachian Spring” to French composer Camille Saint-Saëns' fourth movement of “Algerian Suite,” a tone poem that was inspired by his visits to the African country. For Broadway fans, Tallahassee Winds will perform “Defying Gravity” and other songs included in Jay Bocook’s arrangement of “Selections from Wicked.”
